Mary Hill Fish Wright

Mary Hill Fish Wright was born 14 September, 1804 on the Island of Gournsey. Her father was in the army, an officer; her mother died when she was two years old and buried at sea. John Pannel Wright never joined any church until he heard the Mormons, Elder Querton at Goole. He was foremen of a shipyard, Wakes' Shipyard did their buying, etc. He had served every degree on board a ship from cabin boy to captain.

Emma met James Dalley at the Bluffs. He came in with hundreds of rings of trunks. Uncle Fred said -- George Frederick Wright died at Winter Quarters of cholera at age 15. This was the 6th child of John Pannel Wright and Mary Hill Fish. It was that dreadful epidemic there that took so many of our saints. He was buried in the cemetary at Council Bluffs.
